Letter From Santa Monica July 23 2017
Chris and I attended JEANNE CHERRY'S Memorial Gathering at the UCLA Faculty Club in Los Angeles yesterday. Around 100 people attended, and there were many moving tributes to Jeanne, who died on 2 June this year at the age of 84. Friends of the Tennis Gallery present included Rich Hillway, Norm and Reggi Perry and members of the Cherry family. Messages were read out from various people around the world including Mary Pope, the founder and Chairman of the British Association of Tennis Supporters, and Bob Everitt, the leader of The Tennis Collectors Society in the UK. We'll be doing a full report of this wonderful event for the next issue of The Tennis Collector magazine.
We'll be back in the UK on Tuesday and the gallery will re-open on Wednesday at 10am.
