1939 Wimbledon Championships Daily Programmes

THE 1939 WIMBLEDON CHAMPIONSHIPS took place over twelve days from Monday 26 June until Saturday 8 July. Play commenced at 2pm each day on all courts, and the Gentlemen’s Singles Final was played on Friday 3 July, when second-seeded Bobby Riggs defeated Elwood Cooke in the final, 2–6, 8–6, 3–6, 6–3, 6–2. On the final Saturday Alice Marble defeated Kay Stammers in the final, 6–2, 6–0.

WIMBLEDON OFFICIAL PROGRAMMES are beautiful large-format magazines with tournament information, the daily order of play, results from previous days, feature articles and player photographs. They provide interesting reading and are highly collectable. Fully updated DAILY PROGRAMMES are produced overnight for sale at the grounds on each day of play.
