THE 1994 WIMBLEDON CHAMPIONSHIPS took place over twelve days from Monday 20 June to Saturday 2 July. Play commenced at 2pm each day on all courts, and the Gentlemen’s Singles Final was played on Friday 1 July, when defending champion Pete Sampras successfully defended his title, defeating Goran Ivanišević in the final, 7–6(7–2), 7–6(7–5), 6–0. On the final Saturday Conchita Martínez defeated Martina Navratilova in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3.
